The bridge over the Morava River replaced a three-span reinforced concrete beam bridge from 1920. The deck of the new single-span bridge is made of a shaped monolithic slab of post-tensioned concrete with cantilevered sidewalk slabs. The deck is suspended from a pair of steel welded arches without bracing. The planes of the arches with hangers naturally separate the space for pedestrians from vehicular traffic. This separation is emphasized by concrete prefabricates locally supplemented with wooden seating areas. The lighting for the roadway and sidewalks is provided by fixtures embedded in the steel arches and is complemented by mirrored lights at the bridge approaches.
